External Affairs

The RIEMA External Affairs Branch serves as the primary link between the agency and the public, media, stakeholders, and statewide partners.
Our mission is to engage, inform, and educate audiences to support RIEMA’s goals before, during, and after disasters. Through targeted outreach, public education initiatives, and strategic communications, we help build community resilience, enhance public safety awareness, and ensure clear, timely information is available during emergencies. Our work directly supports a more prepared and informed Rhode Island.
