Legal Branch

The Legal Branch provides general legal advice to the Director and all branches within RIEMA in a variety of areas, including statutory authority and emergency powers, contracts, memoranda of understanding, legislation, access to public records, open meetings, and civil rights, non-discrimination, and accessibility. Legal serves as the agency’s legislative liaison to the Governor’s Office and assumes the role of Liaison Officer within the Incident Command System when necessary.
