Public Safety Warehouse

RIEMA activates the State Public Safety Warehouse, or State Staging Area (SSA), before, during, and after disasters, man-made events, or preplanned technical events to support emergency operations.  This facility is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of essential supplies, as well as the deployment of emergency equipment. The SSA operates under the State Emergency Operations Section and coordinates with the SEOC for resource management.

The SSA serves as the primary location for receiving, storing, and distributing essential supplies for the protection of life and property, as well as for response and recovery efforts. These supplies may include food, water, tarps, cots, and other resources deemed necessary to directly support local incident command.
